Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up graduate ROSDHU QUEEN and October 1 graduate STEELER won the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes and Group 2 Royal Lodge Stakes at Newmarket today to provide a memorable double for Tattersalls graduates.

The INVINCIBLE SPIRIT filly ROSDHU QUEEN continued the great run of graduates of the Craven Breeze Up Sale when running out a gutsy all-the-way winner of the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes. The daughter of the GREEN TUNE mare GREEN MINSTREL maintained her unbeaten record with her fourth win for trainer William Haggas and owner Clipper Logistics. Bought at the Craven Breeze Up Sale for 65,000 guineas by agent David Redvers from the draft of Brendan Holland’s Grove Stud, her win is the third Group/Listed win for graduates of the sale in the past week following on from MOOHAAJIM in the Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes last Saturday and CHIGUN in the Listed Rosemary Stakes at Newmarket yesterday.

On the opening race of the program, the Mark Johnston trained STEELER took out the Group 2 Royal Lodge Stakes for owner Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum. The son of RAVEN’S PASS out of the DARSHAAN mare DISCREET BRIEF was bought at Book 1 of the October Yearling Sale for 80,000 guineas from the draft of Voute Sales. He is also a graduate of the December Foal Sale where he was purchased by Arrow Farm & Stud for 35,000 guineas from Airlie Stud.

There are 36 yearlings catalogued by INVINCIBLE SPIRIT at the forthcoming October Yearling Sale Book 1 whilst there are six yearlings by RAVEN’S PASS. The sale takes place from October 9-11 and catalogues are out now and available from Tattersalls and Tattersalls representatives.
