Tattersalls October Yearling Sale graduates continued their domination of the European two-year-old Group races at Newmarket with ASTRAIRE winning the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes and KINGSTON HILL winning the Group 3 Autumn Stakes.

The Kevin Ryan-trained ASTAIRE led from pillar-to-post to win the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes from Tattersalls Guineas Breeze Up graduate HOT STREAK. The son of INTENSE FOCUS was bought at Book 2 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale for 23,000 guineas by Brendan Holland’s Grove Stud from Railstown Stud. The runner-up HOT STREAK was purchased for 42,000 guineas at the Guineas Breeze Up Sale by David Redvers Bloodstock from Mayfield Stables and is catalogued at the Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale.

The Roger Varian-trained KINGSTON HILL put himself in the 2,000 Guineas picture with an impressive win in the Group 3 Autumn Stakes. The son of MASTERCRAFTSMAN was bought by Charlie Gordon-Watson for 70,000 guineas at Book 2 of the October Yearling Sale from the draft of Woodcote Stud. He defeated the £500,000 Tattersalls Millions 2YO Trophy winner and October Book 1 graduate OKLAHOMA CITY and Tattersalls December Foal Sale graduate TRUTH OR DARE making it a Tattersalls 1-2-3 in the race.

The Marco Botti-trained AL THAKHIRA was the third Group winner for the day for Tattersalls graduates when she won the Group 2 Rockfel Stakes, earnings 1,000 Guineas quotes as low as 10-1. The daughter of DUBAWI was bought at the Tattersalls December Foal Sale by Aran Bloodstock for 42,000 guineas from Tweenhills Stud and led home another Tattersalls 1-2-3 with BLOCKADE an 11,500 guineas graduate of the December Foal Sale and the third VALONIA a 5,500 guineas graduate from October Book 3.
