Outstanding Dual Group 1 Winner Immortal Verse To Sell At Tattersalls December Sale

Dual Group 1 winner IMMORTAL VERSE, in foal to DANSILI, is to be sold at the forthcoming Tattersalls December Sale, Europe's premier breeding stock sale.

Trained by Robert Collet in Chantilly to win both the Group 1 Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot and the Prix Jacques Le Marois at Deauville, the beautifully bred daughter of PIVOTAL will be offered carrying her first foal on behalf of owners Merriebelle Stable. She will be consigned from Luke and Tabitha Lillingston's County Limerick based Mount Coote Stud.

An outstanding individual, IMMORTAL VERSE's finest hour came at Deauville when beating the mighty GOLDIKOVA and a further 6 Group 1 winners in the 2011 Prix Jacques Le Marois. On her previous start IMMORTAL VERSE had comfortably landed the Group 1 Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot and having finished third behind the extraordinary FRANKEL in the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot she ended her three-year-old year as the highest rated French filly of her generation. Given an International Rating of 121, IMMORTAL VERSE was rated higher than the winners of 2011 English, Irish and French 1,000 Guineas, BLUE BUNTING, MISTY FOR ME and GOLDEN LILAC, as well as the outstanding MOONLIGHT CLOUD.

Bred by Kilfrush Stud, IMMORTAL VERSE was not only one of the finest race fillies of her generation, but also boasts a truly outstanding Classic pedigree. One of 23 individual Group 1 winners by the top class stallion PIVOTAL, IMMORTAL VERSE is out of the Listed winning SADLER'S WELLS mare SIDE OF PARADISE, herself the half sister to champion LAST TYCOON, as well as Group and Listed winners ASTRONEF, THE PERFECT LIFE and FLOWERDRUM. SIDE OF PARADISE has five own or half sisters to have produced Group winners including SAVE ME THE WALTZ and TENDER IS THENIGHT, the dams of Classic winners VALENTINE WALTZ and TIE BLACK respectively.

Tested in foal to DANSILI on a February 17th cover, IMMORTAL VERSE's mating replicates the same cross which has already produced this year's Group 1 Nassau Stakes winner WINSILI and also Group 3 winner FIRE LILY, whose dam BEAUTY OF TRUTH is from the direct family of IMMORTAL VERSE. Proven as one of the world's preeminent sires, DANSILI has produced a phenomenal six individual Group 1 winners on three different continents in 2013 alone, including DANK, FLINTSHIRE, FORETELLER, LAUGHING and THE FUGUE.

IMMORTAL VERSE, in foal to DANSILI, will sell as lot 1830 on Tuesday 3rd December, while dual Oaks winner DANCING RAIN, in foal to FRANKEL, will sell as lot 1533 on Monday 2nd December.
