Tattersalls Finalises Dates For October Yearling Sale, Books 1 to 3

Tattersalls has finalised the dates for Books 1 to 3 of the forthcoming October Yearling Sale. Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, Europe’s premier yearling sale, will take place over three days from Tuesday 7th October to Thursday 9th October. The catalogue features the only qualifiers for the five race £1,300,000 Tattersalls Millions series, and is expected to number around 480 of the finest yearlings to be found in the world.

Book 2 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale will also take place over three days, Monday 13th October to Wednesday 15th October, and is expected to number 820 lots. The revamped Book 3 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale will follow on immediately after Book 2 with approximately 550 yearlings to sell on Thursday 16th October and Friday 17th October. The  sale on Friday 17th October will take place over two sessions before and after Future Champions Day at Newmarket’s Rowley Mile. All yearlings in Book 3 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale will be eligible for the all new £150,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes.

Commenting on the finalised dates, Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony said;

“The new date for Dubai Future Champions Day has created challenges for us this year in accommodating the huge demand from so many British and Irish breeders for places in all three books of our October Yearling Sale. We believe, however, that the slightly revised format, with Book 2 reduced to three days and Book 3 increased to two days, will benefit both vendors and purchasers. The new £150,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes attached to Book 3 of the October Yearling Sale has already been very well received, and Books 1 and 2 continue to enhance their positions as Europe’s premier yearling sale and Europe’s most popular yearling sale respectively.”

Friday morning session will start at 9.30am 
Friday evening session will start at 5.30pm
