Tattersalls Yearlings Australia and G Force are Champions of 2014

The dual-Derby winner AUSTRALIA, who was sold at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, was rated the Joint World Champion 3YO at the Longines World’s Best Racehorse Ceremony in London yesterday.

 The son of GALILEO, who has now retired to Coolmore Stud, was given a rating of 127 following on from three Group 1 victories during his three-year-old season including the English and Irish Derbies, and the Juddmonte International at York.

AUSTRALIA was bought for 525,000 guineas by Demi O’Byrne at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale from Stanley House Stud.

Tattersalls yearling graduates NIGHT OF THUNDER and KINGSTON HILL, Classic winners of the 2,000 Guineas and St Leger respectively also both featured in the list of top 10 European three-year-olds with ratings of 121 and 120. Both are great examples of the great value to be found at the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale with NIGHT OF THUNDER bought at Book 1 for just 32,000 guineas whilst KINGSTON HILL realised 70,000 guineas at Book 2.

The David O’Meara-trained G FORCE was crowned the Top European Three-Year-Old Sprinter after receiving a rating of 118 following his win in the Group 1 Haydock Sprint Cup. The son of TAMAYUZ was sold at Tattersalls twice, initially for 70,000 guineas at the December Yearling Sale and subsequently for 25,000 guineas at the Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale.

The next sale at Tattersalls is the February Sale, featuring the TBA Stallion Parade, on February 5th.
