The catalogues for the 2015 Tattersalls July Sale can be viewed online at www.tattersalls.com and will be published on Monday 15th June. Numbering 803 lots, up from 757 last year, the sale comprises more than 650 horses and fillies in/out of training and 150 broodmares. Taking place Wednesday 8th  - Friday 10th July, the three-day sale features quality consignments from many of the world’s leading owner breeders including the Aga Khan Studs, Cheveley Park Stud, Darley, Juddmonte Farms, Moyglare Stud and Shadwell Estates.

Long established as Europe’s premier midsummer sale, the Tattersalls July Sale is the source of the dams of seven 2014/2015 Group 1 winners including Group 1 Australian Cup winner SPILLWAY, Grade 1 Manhattan Handicap winner SLUMBER, Group 1 Oakleigh Plate winner SHAMAL WIND and the New Zealand Group 1 winning two-year-old VESPA (16,000 gns), as well as 45,000 guineas purchase ROMAN LEGEND, winner of the prestigious Qatar Thoroughbred Derby.

Potential stars amongst the 150 broodmares include three Group/Listed winners carrying their first foals; the multiple Listed winner ALONG CAME CASEY in foal to top young sire LOPE DE VEGA, Deauville Listed winner RISKIT FORA BISKIT, in foal to DARK ANGEL and the Brazilian Group 2 winner ENERGIA ELEGANTE in foal on southern hemisphere time to Derby winner SIR PERCY.

The largest consignment, numbering 54 lots, comes from Prince Khalid Abdullah’s Juddmonte Farms and features fillies and broodmares from the direct families of DANEHILL, EMPIRE MAKER, MIDDAY, NEW BAY, OASIS DREAM, RAIL LINK and TOUSSAUD, as well as winning colts and geldings in training. The draft from Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum’s Shadwell numbers 36, while Sheikh Mohammed’s Darley has a total of 115 lots catalogued, 39 under the Darley banner and the remainder consigned from their respective trainers.

Eye-catching Darley mares include DULCET, the four year old half sister to Group 1 winner CUTLASS BAY, carrying her first foal by Derby winner GOLDEN HORN’s sire CAPE CROSS and DOLDRUMS, the winning BERNARDINI half sister to Grade 1 winner VACARE, carrying her first foal by EXCEED AND EXCEL. Exciting young sires yet to have runners are well represented, with mares in foal to Group 1 winners CASEMENTO, CITYSCAPE, DAWN APPROACH, EPAULETTE, FARHH, FOXWEDGE, GARSWOOD, HAVANA GOLD, HELMET, LETHAL FORCE, MAYSON, MUKHADRAM, NATHANIEL, POWER, SEA THE MOON, SEPOY, SLADE POWER, SO YOU THINK, SOCIETY ROCK and WAR COMMAND.

Buyers looking for quality horses in training are equally well catered for with Group and Listed winners from Britain, Dubai, France, Ireland, Italy and also Brazil, amongst the plentiful winners which look set to attract the usual global cast of buyers.
