Hail The Hero Added to Tattersalls July Sale
The three-year-old GALILEO colt HAIL THE HERO has been added to the Tattersalls July Sale as a ‘wildcard’ and has been catalogued as lot 747A. He will be offered during the evening session on Friday, July 10th on behalf of his owners Middleham Park Racing and will be stabled in Wall Box Z, Box 569.
The David O’Meara-trained colt finished fourth at Newmarket today in the Listed Sir Henry Cecil Stakes in what was just the ninth start of his career. The lightly raced colt is officially rated 102 and ran a very creditable race in the 2,000 Guineas behind GLENEAGLES and was a close fourth in the Listed Surrey Stakes at Epsom over seven furlongs on Oaks Day.
HAIL THE HERO is out of the Grade 1 Beverley D Stakes winner MAURALAKANA and was sold as a yearling at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale for 525,000 guineas. He was trained as a two-year-old by Aidan O’Brien for whom he ran second to subsequent Group 1 winner VERT DE GRACE.
