Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Books 2 & 3 Out Now

The catalogues for Books 2 & 3 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale are out now and available from Tattersalls and Tattersalls representatives as well as online at www.tattersalls.com. Book 2 features 915 yearlings and will take place from October 12 – 14 whilst Book 3 features 681 lots on October 15 – 16, this year without a break for racing on the Friday.

The Irish Derby winner and English Derby runner-up JACK HOBBS, purchased for just 60,000 guineas at the 2013 renewal of Book 2 has been the flag-bearer for the sale this year. Other Group 1 winner bargain buys in 2015 from the sale include  leading Hong Kong sprinter GOLD-FUN who was purchased for 10,000 guineas, HARTNELL, winner of The BMW and purchased for just 45,000 guineas in 2012 and the Group 1 Nunthorpe Stakes winner MECCA’S ANGEL who was bought by trainer Michael Dods at the sale in 2012 for just 16,000 guineas.

Book 2 features yearlings by eighteen of the top 20 active sires in GB/Ire with DARK ANGEL leading the way numerically with 51 yearlings catalogued, followed by ACCLAMATION with 28, MASTERCRAFTSMAN with 26, Cheveley Park Stud duo DUTCH ART and KYLLACHY with 25 apiece and CAPE CROSS with 20.

Book 3 of the October Yearling Sale will be over two days without a break for racing this year and will feature 681 yearlings to be offered on October 15 – 16. All yearlings catalogued in Book 3 of the October Yearling Sale are eligible for the £150,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes.
