Usherette On Target For The Tattersalls 250th Year Falmouth Stakes

A total of eight have been declared for The Tattersalls 250th Year Falmouth Stakes, headed by the Godolphin owned, Group 2 Duke of Cambridge Stakes winner, USHERETTE who is trained by Andre Fabre.  Andre Fabre commented: “Usherette has come out of her win at Ascot in great form and is on target to run a big race.”

Godolphin have two more runners in the race with ALWAYS SMILE and 280,000 guineas October Book 1 purchase VERY SPECIAL, both trained by Saeed Bin Suroor.

Saeed Bin Suroor added: “Always Smile is a very tough and consistent filly who is working well.  I was pleased with her run at Ascot and drying ground will suit.  This will be the first run back for Very Special in the UK following a successful campaign in Dubai. She goes into the race in good form and will appreciate the conditions.”

Other notable runners include, ALICE SPRINGS, trained by Aidan O’Brien, winner of the £300,000 Tattersalls Millions 2yo Fillies' Trophy last October and the Marco Botti trained EURO CHARLINE who was knocked down to Old Buckenham Stud for 800 guineas at the 2012 Tattersalls February Sale where she was consigned by Brookside Stud. She was subsequently resubmitted at Book 3 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale where she was knocked down to Scuderia Blueberry for 13,000 guineas.

The Tattersalls 250th Year Falmouth Stakes takes place on Friday, 8th July, coinciding with the final day of the Tattersalls July Sale.
