Contrapposto Winning His Maiden
The second £25,000 Book 1 Bonus during Book 1 of the October Yearling Sale and the 33rd this year was won by the David Menusieur-trained CONTRAPPOSTO. A fast-finishing second in the Convivial Maiden at York in August, the son of CACIQUE repaid his colourful owner Clive Washbourn handsomely by earning a total £38,969 at Nottingham in the EBF Stallions 32Red Casino Oath Maiden Stakes. CONTRAPPOSTO is a half-brother to German Group 1 winner TEMIDA and was bought by Washbourn at the Tattersalls December Yearling Sale for 44,000 guineas from Ringfort Stud after being withdrawn from Book 1. The third day of Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale commences at 11am on Thursday 6th October.
