The catalogue for the Tattersalls December Foal Sale is online now at www.tattersalls.com and will be available in print on October 23rd. Numbering 1,275 lots, the December Foal Sale has been extended to five days and will take place Tuesday 24th November to Saturday 28th November.

Europe’s premier foal sale boasts an outstanding catalogue, with no less than 127 foals by the current top 10 active British and Irish sires and 261 by the current top 20, including DANSILI, DARK ANGEL, DUBAWI, INVINCIBLE SPIRIT, OASIS DREAM, PIVOTAL, SEA THE STARS and SHAMARDAL. The catalogue also features own and half brothers and sisters to an impressive 172 Group and Listed winners including the SEPOY half sister to Irish Derby hero JACK HOBBS and the HIGH CHAPARRAL half sister to the dual Group 1 winning two year old SHALAA. Having produced the highest priced auction yearling in the world this year at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, DUBAWI’s three foals look set to attract plenty of attention. The regally bred trio comprise the half sister to Group 2 and Group 3 winners ROYAL BENCH, MAYHEM and Derby third MEMPHIS TENNESSEE, the filly first foal out of dual Group 1 winner LA COLLINA, and a daughter of the Group winning and Classic placed mare HIGH HEELED.

As ever, first crop sires feature prominently, with a total of 25 represented including Group 1 winners AL KAZEEM, CAMELOT, DAWN APPROACH, DECLARATION OF WAR, EPAULETTE, FARHH, HAVANA GOLD, INTELLO, LETHAL FORCE, MAXIOS, MOST IMPROVED, PLANTEUR, POINT OF ENTRY, RECKLESS ABANDON, RELIABLE MAN and SOCIETY ROCK.

HAVANA GOLD leads the way numerically with 49 of his first crop catalogued, while LETHAL FORCE has 43 to represent him and Australian Group 1 winner EPAULETTE has 27 catalogued. 2012 Derby and 2000 Guineas winner CAMELOT has 18 first crop foals catalogued, including the half brother to the Group 1 winners SEQUOYAH and LISTEN, while 2013 2000 Guineas winner DAWN APPROACH has 15.

Commenting on the 2015 Tattersalls December Foal Sale, Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony said;

“As Europe’s premier foal sale, the Tattersalls December Foal Sale attracts pinhookers from throughout Britain, Ireland and further afield, but the sale is an equally important fixture for many of the world’s leading racehorse owners. 2015 Group 1 winners from the December Foal Sale include global stars MAKE BELIEVE, PRINCE BISHOP, SHALAA and TRIP TO PARIS, and this year’s quality catalogue has all the ingredients to attract the usual international cast of buyers.”
