10 Feb 2019 Share on X Share on Facebook Tonkin Wins 70th October Book 1 Bonus Tonkin Winning his Maiden The Paddy Prendergast-trained TONKIN won the 70th £25,000 October Book 1 Bonus when he ran out an impressive winner of the Jet O’Carroll Memorial Irish EBF Maiden at Listowel. The son of CAMELOT collected a total of 47,890 Euros in the process for connections. TONKIN was offered at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale by Watership Down Stud but failed to find a buyer at 50,000 guineas and is raced by his breeder Richard Barnes. An AUSTRALIA half-sister to TONKIN will be offered as lot 335 at Book 1 of this year’s October Yearling Sale which takes place October 3 – 5.
