The son of STARSPANGLEDBANNER earned a total of £25,400 for his owner David Ward and is out of a half-sister to the top class two-year-old LILBOURNE LAD. AMERICAN STAR was purchased for 170,000 guineas by SackvilleDonald at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale from the draft of Ballyphilip Stud.
