Quality Tattersalls December Yearling Sale Now Online

The catalogue for the 2022 Tattersalls December Yearling Sale is out now and can be viewed at www.tattersalls.com. Numbering 186 lots, the December Yearling Sale will take place on Monday, 21st November.

The catalogue features several own or half siblings to Group 1 winners including the SEA THE STARS own-sister to Group 1 Australian Cup winner FIFTY STARS and the MIZZEN MAST own-brother to French 1000 Guineas and Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf winner FLOTILLA. They are joined by the TAMAYUZ half-brother to Group 1 Prix Jean Prat winner LAWS OF INDICES, the MASTERCRAFTSMAN half-brother to Group 1 Flying Five Stakes winner ROMANTIC PROPOSAL and half-sisters to the Group 1 German Oaks winner WELL TIMED and Group 1 Sydney Cup winner SELINO, by MAGNA GRECIA and SEA THE MOON respectively.  

In total there are own or half brothers and sisters to 41 Group and Listed winners catalogued and 30 yearlings out of Group and Listed winning dams. Highlights include the regally bred daughter of DUBAWI and 1000 Guineas winner MISS FRANCE and a colt by TIME TEST out of dual Grade 1 winner and multiple Group/Listed producer JOSTLE.  

Last year’s leading consignor Shadwell Estates will again offer a high quality consignment of eight yearlings led by the DUBAWI colt out of Group 2 Rockfel Stakes runner up FADHAYYIL, already the dam of Group 2 winner TURAATH, and well-bred fillies by DARK ANGEL, FRANKEL, KINGMAN, LOPE DE VEGA, SEA THE STARS and SIYOUNI.  

Buyers looking for future winners of valuable Tattersalls bonuses and sponsored races will not be short of choice with 16 yearlings eligible for the lucrative £20,000 Tattersalls October Book 1 Bonus Scheme and a further 29 yearlings eligible for the £150,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes, alongside one yearling eligible for the €300,000 Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Stakes. The catalogue also features 43 fillies already entered for the Great British Bonus and one lot qualified for French Owners’ Premiums.

Nine of the top ten sires currently standing in Europe have yearlings catalogued including DARK ANGEL, DUBAWI, FRANKEL, KINGMAN, KODIAC, LOPE DE VEGA, SEA THE STARS, SIYOUNI and STARSPANGLEDBANNER who have a total of 28 yearlings catalogued between them.
