The Charlie Appleby trained SYMBOL OF HONOUR claimed the 355th Tattersalls October Book 1 Bonus when easing to a three and a quarter length victory at Lingfield for Godolphin. The son of HAVANA GREY is a half-brother to the top class sprinter DRAGON SYMBOL who came agonisingly close to Group 1 success when second in the July Cup and Commonwealth Cup and third in the Nunthorpe. SYMBOL OF HONOUR was purchased by Godolphin for 600,000 guineas at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale from Stauffenberg Bloodstock, who had purchased him for 250,000 guineas from Whitsbury Manor Stud at the Tattersalls December Foal Sale.
