The James Fanshawe-trained BOMBYX became the 87th winner of a £25,000 Tattersalls October Book 1 Bonus when taking out the British Stallion Studs EBF Novice Stakes at Leicester. His victory earned connections a total of £37,675 made up of a Book 1 Bonus of £25,000, a Plus 10 Bonus of £7,500 and prize money of £5,175. The son of SIR PERCY races for Anthony & Victoria Pakenham who bred him along with his Derby winning father. They offered him at Book 1 of the October Yearling Sale but retained him at a price of 60,000 guineas.
