32,000 Guineas Classic Winner for Tattersalls
NIGHT OF THUNDER, a graduate of Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale caused an upset when winning the QIPCO 2000 Guineas at Newmarket at 40-1 to provide trainer Richard Hannon with a Classic winner in his first year of training. The son of DUBAWI defeated the leading fancies KINGMAN and AUSTRALIA despite veering markedly across the track in the final furlong under a typically strong drive from jockey Kieren Fallon.
NIGHT OF THUNDER was knocked down to Rabbah Bloodstock for 32,000 guineas at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale. The colt, by DUBAWI out of the Listed placed GALILEO mare FOREST STORM was consigned to the sale by The Castlebridge Consignment on behalf of breeder Frank Dunne.
AUSTRALIA, the third horse horse home and now as short as 6/4 for The Derby, is also a graduate of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 1 whilst SHIFTING POWER who finished fourth is a Book 2 graduate.
