Al Shahania Foals and Mares Set to Star at Tattersalls December Sale
An outstanding team of five foals and eight mares in foal from Al Shahania Stud’s French based Haras des Cruchettes is set to be amongst the highlights of the forthcoming Tattersalls December Sale which takes place from November 22nd to December 2nd. Forming part of a partial dispersal, the 13 foals and mares will all be consigned from Newsells Park Stud.
Three of the five foals are out of Classic or Group winning mares headed by a March foaled colt by outstanding sire of sires INVINCIBLE SPIRIT out of the 2018 Poule d’Essai des Pouliches winner TEPPAL, from the top class family of recent Group 1 winners CALL THE WIND, WE ARE and WITH YOU. The regally bred INVINCIBLE SPIRIT colt is joined by colt first foals out of the Group 3 winners PELLIGRINA and QABALA by top stallions SIYOUNI and KINGMAN respectively and the quintet of foals is completed by the SEA THE STARS colt out of Listed placed mare DESERT HAZE and the SEA THE MOON filly out of the well related winning MAKFI mare CATALYST.
The globetrotting Group 1 winner BLOND ME, carrying only her third foal by SIYOUNI, heads the team of Al Shahania broodmares. The daughter of TAMAYUZ, from the top Weinstock family of Group 1 and Classic winners CONDUIT, GLASS HARMONIUM and SPECTRUM, is joined by Group 1 winning Champion FLOTILLA, in foal to SEA THE MOON and the Listed winning MONSUN mare PEARLS OR PASSION. Out of Group 1 Prix Vermeille winner PEARLY SHELLS, PEARLS OR PASSION is already the dam of Group 3 winner PELLIGRINA and Listed placed PODEMOS and is also in foal to Champion French sire SIYOUNI.
Young winning mares CRIMSON ROCK, FIND IT WITHIN, LISTENTOME and SARACENE, all from top class families and in foal to HIGHLAND REEL, ALMANZOR, AL KAZEEM and LE HAVRE respectively, will also not be short of admirers and the team of eight is completed by the ZAMINDAR mare TIME BEING also in foal to proven Group 1 sire AL KAZEEM. TIME BEING is an own sister to the late Prince Khalid Abdullah’s Group 1 winner TIMEPIECE and a half sister to Group 1 winner PASSAGE OF TIME, the dam of exciting first crop sire TIME TEST.
