Alice Springs Triumphs in £300,000 Tattersalls Millions 2YO Fillies' Trophy
ALICE SPRINGS won the 13 runner £300,000 Tattersalls Millions 2YO Fillies’ Trophy at Newmarket’s Rowley Mile today for trainer Aidan O’Brien.
The daughter of Galileo was bought by MV Magnier from consignor Glenvale Stud at the 2014 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 1. Third in the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes this September, Alice Springs ran an impressive four lengths clear for owners Mrs John Magnier, Michael Tabor and Derrick Smith.
After the race Michael Tabor commented, "She is a tough filly, we haven't thought about plans for the future yet. We are just enjoying the prize money here.”
CLEAR SKIES was second for trainer David Wachman and owner JP McManus, with Ann Duffield’s NINETTA placing in third.
Book 1 of the 2015 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale takes place October 6 – 8 and will feature the only yearlings eligible for the all-new £25,000 Tattersalls October ‘Book 1 Bonus’ which offers a £25,000 bonus to anyOctober Book 1 graduate who wins a Class 2, 3 or 4 Maiden in Great Britain or an ‘Open’ 2YO Maiden in Ireland.
