The Simon & Ed Crisford trained ARTAOIS claimed the 258th £20,000 October Book 1 Bonus with an impressive two and a half length win at Chester in the Envirosips EBF Novice Stakes. The son of KODIAC is from a high-class German family and earned a total of £25,978 for his owner Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum for victory. ARTAOIS was purchased for 170,000 guineas by Gainsborough Thoroughbreds at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale from the draft of Mount Coote Stud. His ROARING LION half-sister will be offered as lot 106 at this year’s sale by Newsells Park Stud.
