Group 1 Winners Lezoo and Prosperous Voyage to be Offered at Tattersalls December Mares Sale
Group 1 winning fillies LEZOO and PROSPEROUS VOYAGE are to be offered at the forthcoming Tattersalls December Mares Sale which will take place from December 4th - 7th. They will be offered for sale in the Sceptre Session on Tuesday 5th December and will be amongst the highlights of a star-studded lineup. The Ralph Beckett trained duo will be offered on behalf of their co-owners Marc Chan and Andrew Rosen.
Crowned last year’s Cartier European Champion Two-Year-Old Filly, LEZOO was a brilliant winner of the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes which saw her defeat subsequent Breeders’ Cup and 1000 Guineas winners MEDITATE and MAWJ. Bred by Chasemore Farm, LEZOO is a daughter of leading Australian sire ZOUSTAR and the Group 3 winning RED CLUBS mare ROGER SEZ, who is also the dam of high class two-year-old NAVASSA ISLAND, runner up in this year’s Group 3 Naas Juvenile Sprint Stakes on debut.
PROSPEROUS VOYAGE claimed her Group 1 victory with an impressive defeat of four-time Group 1 winner INSPIRAL in the 2022 Tattersalls Falmouth Stakes having narrowly been denied Classic glory in the 1000 Guineas when a fast finishing runner up to CACHET. Top class at two when runner up to INSPIRAL in the Group 1 Fillies’ Mile, PROSPEROUS VOYAGE claimed the Group 3 Princess Elizabeth Stakes in June this year before a fine third in the Group 2 Duke of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot. PROSPEROUS VOYAGE is by ZOFFANY, a son of outstanding broodmare sire DANSILI out of the MIZZEN MAST mare SEATONE from the top Juddmonte family of XAAR, BATED BREATH and CITYSCAPE.
