Group 2 Winner Sky Full Of Stars Heads Quality Wildcard Additions to Tattersalls February Sale
Ten broodmares and fillies and mares out of training and the promising three-year-old colt BLUFF have been added to the Tattersalls February Sale as wildcards. The Tattersalls February Sale will take place Thursday 2nd - Friday 3rd February and features 477 broodmares, horses in/out of training, two-year-olds and yearlings.
The ten quality broodmares and fillies and mares out of training will be consigned by Baroda Stud and Wood Hall Sales as part of a dispersal and are led by Group 2 winner SKY FULL OF STARS. A daughter of KENDARGENT and Listed runner up SWORN MUM from the family of Champion German fillies SWORN PRO, SALDENTIGERIN, SALOMINA and SERIENHOLDE, SKY FULL OF STARS will be offered in foal to triple Group 1 winner ADVERTISE. She will be joined by the Grade 1 placed Stakes winner FRENZIFIED, by Champion YEATS out of a half-sister to the Group 1 Australian Oaks winner COLETTE. Also offered in foal to ADVERTISE, FRENZIFIED is from the exceptional family of Champion filly L’ANCRESSE and Group 1 winners CERULEAN SKY, MOONSTONE, NAVAL CROWN and WELLINGTON.
Also amongst the wildcard entries are a pair of Listed placed mares in GLADE, a three-time Listed placed half-sister to Group winner and Grade 1 placed filly INDIAN BLESSING who is offered in foal to ADVERTISE, and LIGHT AND SHADE, an AQLAAM half-sister to dual Group 3 winner LADY GLORIA who will be offered in foal to Classic sire ACLAIM. They are joined by the BERNARDINI mare SUNSHINE FUN, a winning half-sister to Group 2 UAE Derby winner and dual Grade 1 placed TOAST OF NEW YORK who is offered in foal to ADVERTISE, FREEDOM SPIRIT, a MUHAARAR half-sister to Champion sprinter and five-time Group 1 winner SOLE POWER in foal to ACLAIM, and PIP’S EAGLE, a daughter of GLENEAGLES and Champion sprinter PIPALONG, who is also offered in foal to ACLAIM.
Offered out of training will be the four-year-old filly TRUELY ACLAIMED, a three-time winner who achieved an official rating of 90 on the racecourse and is out of an own-sister to the dual Group 1 placed filly RAINFALL, and RABAT, a dual winning daughter of MEHMAS and a half-sister to two blacktype performers. Baroda Stud will consign the beautifully bred PURE NATURE, a winning daughter of DANSILI out of the Listed winner NATURE SPIRITS from the excellent international family of Champion HERNANDO, who will be offered in foal to brilliant young sire MEHMAS.
Completing the wildcard entries are the promising three-year-old colt BLUFF, who broke his maiden impressively on his second start for trainer Robert Cowell earning a Timeform rating of 79p. By THE GURKHA out of the MEDICEAN mare BLODWYN, BLUFF is from the excellent Cheveley Park family of Group 2 winner and multiple Group 1 placed SPACIOUS and will be joined by a well-bred two-year-old filly consigned by Barton Sales. The daughter of Group 1 sire ZOUSTAR is out of Group 3 Firth of Clyde Stakes winner DARK RECKONING and comes from the family of dual Group 1 winning sprinter REVERENCE.
