Indian Run Continues Remarkable Run for Tattersalls Somerville Yearling Sale

The Group 3 Tattersalls Acomb Stakes continued the remarkable run for graduates of the Tattersalls Somerville Yearling Sale when won by the exciting Eve Johnson Houghton trained INDIAN RUN on the opening day of the York Ebor Festival. The son of SIOUX NATION was purchased at the Tattersalls Somerville Yearling Sale by Joe Foley on behalf of the Steve Parkin led Bronte Collection for 75,000 guineas from the draft of Timmy Hillman’s Castledillon Stud. 

INDIAN RUN’s victory capped a remarkable week for graduates of the Tattersalls Somerville Yearling Sale following on from ANISETTE’s Grade 1 Del Mar Oaks victory last weekend. Along with BRADSELL’s victory in the Group 1 King’s Stand Stakes, the sale, which is only two years old, has produced a remarkable 106 individual winners in 2023 including two Gr.1 winners and 16 Group/Listed performers.

The Tattersalls Somerville Yearling Sale takes place on Tuesday, 5th September with 314 lots catalogued, all of which are eligible for the £100,000 Somerville Auction Stakes and the £150,000 October Auction Stakes.
