Jet Away Heads Stakes Double For Tattersalls Autumn Horses In Training Sale Graduates
JET AWAY continued the impressive run of success for graduates of the Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale when he won the Group 3 Easter Cup at Caulfield for David Hayes. The son of CAPE CROSS made it a two-state double for graduates of the world’s largest horses in training sale after the Gai Waterhouse trained JULIENAS had earlier won the Listed NE Manion Cup at Rosehill.
JET AWAY was purchased at last year’s Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale for 200,000 guineas by Blandford Bloodstock’s Stuart Boman from the draft of Juddmonte Farms. The six-year-old may now head to the Sydney for the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes with the Group 1 Caulfield Cup the longer-term target.
JULIENAS, who is also by Darley’s CAPE CROSS, rocketed to the top of betting for the Group 1 Sydney Cup after his comfortable victory in the Listed NE Manion Cup. The six-year-old was purchased at the 2011 renewal of the Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale for 75,000 guineas by McKeever Bloodstock and Gai Waterhouse Racing for 75,000 guineas.
The next sale at Tattersalls is the Craven Breeze Up Sale that takes place on April 16–18 whilst the Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale takes place on October 28-31 and the Tattersalls July Sale on July 9-12.
