Listed Winning 3yo Burano Heads Wild Card Entries For Tattersalls Guineas Breeze Up And Hit Sale
2012 Listed winner BURANO heads a strong team of 'Wild Card' entries for the forthcoming Tattersalls Guineas Breeze Up and Horses in Training Sale which takes place May 3rd and 4th. In addition to BURANO there are a further four two year colts for the Breeze Up by ACCLAMATION, FOOTSTEPSINTHESAND, KHELEYF and PIVOTAL.
BURANO, a 3 year old son of DALAKHANI trained by Brian Meehan, won the Listed Meydan Classic over a mile in February beating Group 3 Acomb Stakes winner ENTIFAADHA and was then a very creditable eighth of fourteen behind DADDY LONG LEGS in a high class renewal of the Group 2 UAE DERBY on Dubai World Cup night. Out of the LAKE CONISTON mare KALIMANTA, BURANO is from the high class Aga Khan family of the multiple Group 1 winner KALANISI.
The four Breeze Up 'Wild Cards' look equally enticing all coming from leading established consignors. The ACCLAMATION colt is out of Cherry Hinton winner APPLAUD, already the dam of Stakes winner JAZZ JAM, and will be one of four lots to come from Yeomanstown Stud. Malcolm Bastard will present the FOOTSTEPSINTHESAND colt who is out of MILWAUKEE, a Stakes placed half sister to multiple Grade 1 winner AMORAMA, alongside his seven other offerings. Katie Walsh, consignor of leading 2,000 Guineas contender CASPAR NETSCHER at last year's Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up, has a KHELEYF half brother to four winners out of MANDOLIN, while the PIVOTAL colt out of DANCE A DAYDREAM from the top class Cheveley Park family of ENTREPRENEUR, EXCLUSIVE and ECHELON, will be one of three juveniles to come from Eddie O'Leary's Lynn Lodge Stud.
'Wild Card' entries can still be made for the Tattersalls Guineas Breeze Up and Horses in Training Sale. The breeze will take place at 9.00am on the Rowley Mile Racecourse on Thursday 3rd May and the sale will take place Friday 4th May starting with the Horses in Training at 12.00 noon.
