Record Turnover At The Tattersalls October Yearling Sale

The Tattersalls October Yearling Sale came to a close with Book 4 taking the turnover for the fortnight to more than 162 million guineas, the seventh consecutive year that the turnover for the sale has set records.  

The final session was headlined by Redgate Bloodstock’s MAYSON, who was knocked down to Howson & Houldsworth Bloodstock for 16,000 guineas. The colt was bred by Preston Lodge Stud out of their TIGER HILL mare EPERNAY, who won three races and was placed fourth in the Listed Upavon Fillies' Stakes. 

"We had him for around nine weeks for sales prep," said Damien Flynn of Redgate. "We has done well and is a real improver. We thought he'd be stand out in today's sale."

At the conclusion of Book 4 of the 2018 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony commented;
