Six wildcards have been added to the Tattersalls July Sale which takes place from Tuesday, 9th – Thursday 11th July next week. Over 900 lots are catalogued for Europe’s premier midsummer sale including horses/fillies in training and broodmares, with consignments from Godolphin, Juddmonte Farms & Shadwell Estates.  

The two wildcards to be offered on Tuesday 9th July include HOTAUGUSTNIGHT, the full-sister to this year’s Derby fourth DEIRA MILE who will be consigned by Syd Hosie Racing as lot 200A. The four-year-old daughter of CAMELOT is out of the Listed performer FASTNET MIST, a daughter of FASTNET ROCK and a full-sister to the dam of Derby second AMBIENTE FRIENDLY, from the top class family of Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes winner WANNABE GRAND.  

She will be joined by the promising two-year-old colt SANDS OF MARRA who will be offered by the Castlebridge Consignment at lot 200B. Trained by Ollie Sangster for Pompey Ventures, the son of SANDS OF MALI was an impressive winner of his second start last weekend at Windsor earning a Timeform rating of 80p, and comes from the family of dual Champion Two-Year-Old and Three-Year-Old Sprinter DREAM AHEAD. SANDS OF MARRA’s dam REVIVED will also be offered in the Tattersalls July Sale by Dullingham Park carrying a full-sibling.

Another last time out winner added to the catalogue is MOON MAN, who will be offered on Wednesday as lot 539B by Baroda Stud on behalf of David O’Meara Racing. The three-year-old has been a model of consistency to date, placing in four out of five lifetime starts prior to breaking his maiden in fine style at Ayr over seven furlongs and will be offered with a Timeform rating of 81. The lightly raced AT VIMEIRO will also be offered on Wednesday by Jane Chapple-Hyam Racing as lot 539A, the three-year-old son of SEA THE STARS is out of the Group 2 winner AMORELLA and placed on his most recent start at Windsor over ten furlongs.  

The two wildcards to be offered on Thursday are led by THE CAMDEN COLT, consigned by Baroda Stud as lot 800A on behalf of Richard Hannon’s East Everleigh Stables. Placed twice in three starts this year and most recently seen in the Britannia Stakes at Royal Ascot, the Timeform 97-rated colt is by FOOTSTEPSINTHESAND out of a full-sister to the three-time Group 1 runner up VENUS DE MILO from the family of Champion POET’S WORD.  

The wildcard lots are completed by the promising thee-year-old colt SWINDON who will be offered as lot 829A by William Haggas’ Somerville Lodge. The unexposed son of WOOTTON BASSETT is out of a half-sister to two Group winners and has won and been placed on two of his three starts, running on strongly into fourth on his most recent outing at Goodwood to earn a Timeform rating of 92.
