Tattersalls Appoints Harry McAlpine as Australasian Representative Alongside Jenny McAlpine
Tattersalls has appointed bloodstock consultant Harry McAlpine as an additional representative in Australasia, working alongside long-standing Tattersalls Australasian representative Jenny McAlpine.
A native of Queensland based on the McAlpine family’s Eureka Stud, Harry McAlpine worked for a year at Tattersalls before studying business and law at University. McAlpine then worked for William Inglis and Sons for five years predominantly as a bloodstock consultant and auctioneer based in Sydney, before returning to Eureka Stud to assist with stallion nominations and sales. McAlpine also acts as a bloodstock agent and consultant managing the Black Soil Bloodstock racing and breeding operation on behalf of Brian Siemsen.
Commenting on the appointment, Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony said;
“Harry is a great addition to the Tattersalls team of overseas representatives and his appointment working alongside Jenny McAlpine demonstrates the importance we attach to promoting Tattersalls sales throughout Australia and New Zealand. Having worked at Tattersalls in Newmarket and at William Inglis in Sydney, Harry is already familiar with the Tattersalls ethos and sales portfolio and between him and Jenny, Tattersalls has two highly respected individuals to represent the company in a hugely important market.”
Harry McAlpine added;
“Tattersalls has a fantastic reputation in both Australia and New Zealand and to be promoting Tattersalls alongside Jenny is a role I am looking forward to enormously. The achievements of Tattersalls graduates in recent years have been extraordinary with the likes of ZAAKI, STATE OF REST and KNIGHTS ORDER all winning Group 1 races here in the past year alone and we will be working hard to attract even more Australian and New Zealand buyers to the array of market-leading sales at Tattersalls."
