Tattersalls December Foal Catalogue, Featuring the Ballymacoll Dispersal, Now Online
The catalogue for the Tattersalls December Foal Sale is online now at www.tattersalls.com and will be available in print on October 19th. Numbering 1,147 lots, and featuring the Ballymacoll Dispersal, the December Foal Sale will take place Wednesday 29th November to Saturday 2nd December.
Europe’s premier foal sale boasts an outstanding catalogue, with no less than 109 foals by the current top 10 active British and Irish sires and 185 by the current top 20, including ACCLAMATION, DANSILI, DARK ANGEL, DUBAWI, FRANKEL, INVINCIBLE SPIRIT, KODIAC, NATHANIEL, PIVOTAL, SEA THE STARS and SHAMARDAL. The catalogue also features own and half brothers and sisters to an impressive 171 Group and Listed winners including the DUBAWI half sister to Irish Derby and Sheema Classic winner JACK HOBBS and the GOLDEN HORN half sister to 2014 European Champion 3 year old SEA THE MOON.
The foal sector of the once in a generation Ballymacoll Dispersal also looks set to be the focus of widespread international attention. The nine Ballymacoll foals are part of a 26 strong consignment from Norelands Stud and the OASIS DREAM filly out of outstanding Champion ISLINGTON and the KINGMAN own brother to the 1.7 million guineas yearling filly out of JUSTLOOKDONTOUCH will undoubtedly be amongst the highlights.
As ever, first crop sires feature prominently, with a total of 26 represented including Group 1 winners BRAZEN BEAU, FREE EAGLE, GLENEAGLES, GOLDEN HORN, HUNTER’S LIGHT, KARAKONTIE, KINGSTON HILL, MAKE BELIEVE, MUHAARAR, NIGHT OF THUNDER, NUTAN and OUTSTRIP.
The high-class duo of CABLE BAY and HOT STREAK lead the way numerically with 35 and 36 of their first crops catalogued, while the 2000 Guineas winners GLENEAGLES and NIGHT OF THUNDER have 14 and 13 catalogued respectively. Outstanding Derby and Arc winner GOLDEN HORN also has 14 foals to represent him, while Champion Sprinter MUHAARAR has 13 catalogued.
