Tattersalls Online August Sale Entry Aloha Star Shines In Group 1 Phoenix Stakes

ALOHA STAR, catalogued as Lot 2 in the Tattersalls Online August Sale enhanced her lofty reputation even further when placed third in the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh yesterday for trainer Fozzy Stack. 

The two-year-old daughter of STARSPANGLEDBANNER made her challenge on the far side of the track and hit the front inside the final furlong before giving best the to the eventual winner LUCKY VEGA. She passed the post in second place at the line but following a stewards’ enquiry was placed third. 

This performance earned her an official Irish Rating of 105 and marks her down as the joint highest rated two-year-old filly in training in Ireland.

Bidding will open on Wednesday 12th August at midday (BST) and conclude at midday (BST) on Friday 14th August.
