Tattersalls Sceptre Filly Poptronic Lands Gr1 British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes
David and Yvonne Blunt’s homebred four year old filly POPTRONIC, catalogued as lot 1784 in the forthcoming Tattersalls December Mares Sale, landed her first win at the highest level when winning the Group 1 British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes at Ascot on British Champions Day.
Trained by Karl Burke in Middleham, the British bred daughter of NATHANIEL, already the winner of the Group 2 Lancashire Oaks and Group 3 Hoppings Stakes, is now the winner of five of her 13 lifetime starts and more than £450,000 in prize money. Out of the winning DREAM AHEAD mare ALPINE DREAM, herself out of the Group 2 Lowther Stakes winner INFAMOUS ANGEL, POPTRONIC is ALPINE DREAM's second winner from two foals of racing age and her winning three year old half sister BEAUTRON is also set to be offered at the December Mares Sale as lot 2130.
POPTRONIC joins five other outstanding Group 1 winning fillies in training set to be offered in the Sceptre Sessions of the Tattersalls December Mares Sale, alongside CACHET, LEZOO, PROSPEROUS VOYAGE, VERNICHEY and VIA SISTINA, who ran an outstanding second in the Champion Stakes.
The catalogue for the Tattersalls December Mares Sale, Europe’s premier breeding stock sale which takes place Monday 4th to Thursday 7th December, can be viewed online at www.tattersalls.com and will be available from Tattersalls and Tattersalls representatives from 3rd November.
