Two Wildcards Added to Tattersalls Guineas Horses in Training Sale
Two high class additional lots have been added to the Tattersalls Guineas Horses in Training Sale which takes place next week from Wednesday 1st to Thursday 2nd May and precedes the Tattersalls Guineas Breeze Up Sale which follows immediately on Thursday 2nd May.
Both wildcard lots are catalogued on Thursday 2nd May with Jane Chapple-Hyam Racing set to offer the Group 3 runner up BLANCHLAND as lot 198. Timeform rated 111, the four-year-old colt was second in the Group 3 Zetland Stakes at Newmarket at two and also posted several high class performances in Listed company last year, including when beaten just a length into third in the Listed Quebec Stakes and when fourth behind subsequent Group 1 Sheema Classic winner REBEL’S ROMANCE in the Listed Wild Flower Stakes in December. The FARHH colt is owned by Peter Harris and is a half-brother to the dual Group 3 winner ATZECO.
BLANCHLAND will be joined by the Timeform 98 rated CEPHALUS who will be offered as lot 196 by the Castlebridge Consignment. Trained by Gary Moore for Veljko Jovanovic, the son of CABLE BAY has been in outstanding form in 2024 with four wins in succession over a mile and was an unlucky fourth on his most recent start at Chelmsford, staying on strongly to earn an official rating of 88.
