Two Wildcards Added to Tattersalls September Sale

Two high class lots have been added to the Tattersalls September Sale which will take place on Tuesday 10th September. The catalogue numbers 242 lots and comprises horses and fillies in/out of training and broodmares, with consignments from many of the UK’s leading trainers.  

William Haggas’ Somerville Lodge will offer the Timeform 109 rated MUJTABA as lot 150A on behalf of Shadwell Estate Company. The high-class son of DUBAWI boasts top level form this year including when second to subsequent Group 2 Hardwicke Stakes winner ISLE OF JURA in the Listed Festival Stakes at Goodwood, beaten just half a length. The five-time winner was previously beaten just a neck into second by multiple Group winner POINT LONSDALE in the Group 2 Huxley Stakes at Chester and ran with credit in the Group 3 Rose of Lancaster Stakes at Haydock on his most recent start.  

MUJTABA will be joined by promising three-year-old colt MINA RASHID, consigned by Andrew Balding’s Kingsclere Stables as lot 150B. Timeform rated 89, MINA RASHID broke his maiden impressively over a mile and a half at Chester before running in both the Group 2 Queen’s Vase at Royal Ascot and the Group 1 German Derby. The son of ALMANZOR is out of a sister to the multiple Group winner LORD ADMIRAL and to LYNNWOOD CHASE, the dam of top class performers STAR CATCHER, CANNOCK CHASE and PISCO SOUR.
