Zhui Feng Wins £200,000 Tattersalls Millions Median Auction Trophy
The Amanda Perrett-trained ZHUI FENG was an impressive winner of the 10 runner £200,000 Tattersalls Millions Median Auction Trophy at Newmarket’s Rowley Mile today.
The son of Invincible Spirit was bought by Peter and Ross Doyle Bloodstock from Irish consignors Corduff Stud at the 2014 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 1. The colt currently holds entries in the Group 1 Middle Park and Dewhurst Stakes.
After the race owner John Connolly commented “We will see what Amanda says later but he can’t do better than he has done so far. We are absolutely delighted and he could be one of the best two-year-olds we’ve owned.”
Hillside Dream was second for James Tate, with Seastrom for Charlie Appleby in third.
Book 1 of the 2015 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale takes place October 6 – 8 and will feature the only yearlings eligible for the all-new £25,000 Tattersalls October ‘Book 1 Bonus’ which offers a £25,000 bonus to any two-year-old graduate who wins a Class 2, 3 or 4 Maiden in Great Britain or an ‘Open’ 2YO Maiden in Ireland. The Tattersalls Millions Median Auction Trophy is the first race of five in the final Tattersalls Millions race series, which will conclude with the 2016 running of the Tattersalls Millions 3YO Trophy at Newmarket’s Rowley Mile Racecourse.
