Secret Brief And Mark Johnston Win Another Tattersalls Millions Race
Secret Brief, trained by Mark Johnston, won the 15 runner £500,000 Tattersalls Millions 2YO Trophy at Newmarket’s Rowley Mile Racecourse today, the fourth race of the 2014/15 £1.3 million Tattersalls Millions series.
The son of Shamardal was bought by John Ferguson from Airlie Stud at the 2013 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 1. The colt won the £100,000 Tattersalls Millions Median Auction Trophy last time out and his victory here today took his prize money to almost £350,000.
After the race Mark Johnston commented, “He ran a good race again today winning some fantastic prize money. It will be up to John and Sheikh Mohammed whether he runs again this season but my gut feeling would be no.”
Outlaw Country was second for Charlie Appleby, with Bossy Guest for Mick Channon in third.
There are two more races scheduled in the 2014/15 £1.3 million Tattersalls Millions series, both of which take place at The Craven Meeting next year, with £300,000 prize money on offer.
Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, featuring the only yearlings eligible for next year’s £1.3 million Tattersalls Millions series takes place from 7 – 9 October.
